A gold fountain pen resting on an open cream notebook on a light wooden desk, with morning sunlight and the sea through a window behind it.

Void is more profound than volume.

Everything is frivolous, except sex.

Nature is absolutely ruthless, and full of mercy.

Victory is only temporary gain and accelerated entropy.

There is no coincidence, only incidence and then consequence.

The word without the wit is like the garden without the rose.

The might in a warrior’s fight is congruent with the gravity of his sadness.

It is easier to learn to conquer and accumulate, than to consider and acquiesce.

The peasant who is loved is rich, and the king who is only feared is poor.

Telling someone they’re smart makes a fool feel less foolish and a smart person more alone.

Maybe the ability to dream exists proportionally with the ability for creative thinking. Maybe it’s the other way around.

The ability of Man (when cooperating) has no apex. The Beauty of Nature (Who always cooperates) has no equal.

Nothing more exciting, frightening and humbling than gazing at the stars… knowing I am made of them, and that one day I will return to them.

The near equilibrium of the universe was conceived, as is maintained, by its disequilibrium.

One should watch with the light of day and learn by assessing his visions in the dark of night, with the moon as inspiration for mortals to explore the heavens.

It is the lion who slayed beasts of all sorts who is most likely to die from an insect biting him in the ass and giving him a disease no doctor can cure.

I went to war with myself in an attempt to find peace… and I knew that if somehow, somewhere far, I found it… gravity and entropy would take it, and everything else from me… and so I stayed in the trenches.

Some people are so smart, and some so stupid… and in having that thought just this moment I realize how much I am still a fool and a child to occasionally look down on any of my fellow Man… but “a Man who knows more than others feels alone” (Carl Jung)… and growing up is over-rated.

If we somehow understood ALL secrets to this universe or multiverse (or whatever it is), then we would likely understand ALL secrets of God, and with this the curiosity of Man would cease, and so the suicide of progress would follow. Appropriately, we are left in the dark with a promising and celestial sunset each day who is both father and kin to our inner fire.

After reading hundreds of books I realized I know almost nothing, and I’m reluctant to read any more because I am beginning to truly understand that the more I read the less I’ll understand… but we are programmed to engage who and what we love, so I’ll just keep strolling down the rabbit hole that most call the light. But vast knowledge is very dark if you ask the universe and not just a sun.

The simple mind puts principles into categories and under titles in order to adapt to this complex world. The few wise understand the infinite complexity of all things, and the simple essence that all things are dynamic and ever-changing, on the subatomic and galactic level and all in between. When people ask him what he thinks of this and that, and him or her, he has a very difficult time answering his peers, because everything is circumstantial and every coin has two sides. The only certainty is victory and entropy… and victory is only temporary gain and accelerated entropy.

The Warrior

Tough times sculpt who we have become and who we come to be
The warrior stays while the rest flee
The warrior never lacks compassion, and is a man of action
Those who know him best know only a fraction…
of the many layers from which the warrior is comprised
The warrior carries the lion’s signature of boldness in his eyes
The warrior’s passion and pursuit is honor, the fighter chases glory
The warrior blesses the fallen as the fighter boasts of stories
The warrior carries scars, often on his skin, always in his morgue of sin
The warrior’s path is a lonely one, finding it difficult relating to kin
The might in a warrior’s fight is congruent with the gravity of his sadness
A true warrior never lets his pain unravel into madness
The true warrior stands alone, and does not ask the sky in which direction he should turn
Because he sails with the wind and destiny is his stern

Book of Life

In the book of life we may choose the inks and pens
Plots are determined and characters are chosen by strangers adopted as friends

The first few chapters usually begin as the pen writes with ease
Then some friends are lost young, and loved ones succumb to disease.

Experience and hardship can be felt in the adjectives and verbs
All authors endure pain: some try to bury it with substances and herbs

One day at a time…
One page full of rhymes…

We cannot use a pencil, falling forever victim to our own moral crimes

All our books speak of sin,
of love, foe and kin.

What is pleasure and transparency without pain and gin?

Loss is a part of every story,
So is mystery, pain, pleasure and, hopefully, “glory”

GLORY… Glory… glory

When we die, only our Honor remains,

End of story

Black Holes

My logic concludes the following:

Black holes are the means by which galaxies communicate with one another. All species communicate: ants, plants, planets, galaxies. The Earth was born, which means one day it will die. Something that is born and will die is alive. If planets are alive, then galaxies are also alive, and so is the entire universe.

To my knowledge most great modern astrophysicists say “nothing can escape black holes, not even light.” I don’t agree.

The same way that when a human communicates, person A speaks and the words vibrate through matter, and person B receives the vibrations, and then the brain translates the vibrations into meaning: so I think all the matter that a black hole takes in is then interpreted and translated to other galaxies, and that black holes are literally the means by which galaxies communicate and share energy.

Are black holes to the galaxies what the cochlea is to the human ear? Are they the systems that fertilize the zygote from which new galaxies will develop? Or are black holes a living organism in themselves? Maybe a vital organ system of the Universe? All is vital. All is one.
